Hi and welcome to Hobbies of a Homemaker, I'm so glad you're here! On my business card it calls me a wife, mother, ingenuity specialist, and I think that sums me up pretty well! I love being creative in all areas of my life a lot of which includes things around my home! I love all things antique, rusty and worn. I'm sure you'll see a lot of this in my DIY projects and thrift store finds. God has given my husband and I a passion for real, organic food along with a desire to get back to the basics and live life as simply as possible. We dream of owning our own farm one day where we can live self sustainably ever after with our 2 year old son, our dog Birdie and our cat bear-bear. Thanks for following along!

Fabulous Find & Giveaway Winner!


Looking through a local architectural salvage place with my hubby, I came across this fabulous row of old metal apartment mailboxes! I couldn't pass it up--
For some reason, metal and I have a hard time saying no to each other...
and maybe mailboxes too for that matter...
