Hello Folks!
It's me, Kara, Ms. Hobbies of a Homemaker! Remember me?
It's been a while since I've been around blogland and I'm excited to get back into it. Let me fill you in a little on the reasons for my absence.
If you have been a visitor around this blog before, I'm sure you have noticed we aren't you're average american family. We don't have many modern appliances, including a dishwasher or microwave, we don't own cell phones and we try to limit our tv watching. Overall, we aim to be a home where simple life abounds. Over the last month, I've hoped to center myself back on that mindset, taking some time away from internet distraction.
Less time in front of this screen has brought me great joy and contentment.
Here's what I did with my free time! :)
The weather in Michigan has been
unseasonably warm. I'm talking 80's the beginning of this month, so first of all I've been busy soaking up some vitamin D with my family and second of all my projects for the
barn sale have been getting some much needed attention.
Next, we've been under construction! We found out we had yucky mold behind our tub, and so began the process of demolition.
And last, but oh so not least, we added some little members to our family. Three little rescued chicks have come to stay and have helped us continue down our path to self sustainability! Thanks Jess and Chris!
I'm glad to be back, with hopefully a little more balance and self control. :)
Thank you creatively inspiring Pinterest and fabulously interesting bloggy blogs, but don't plan on me visiting quite so much this time around!
Here's a little preview of one of my current projects in progress...
